Project Overview

This project aimed to revitalize the digital marketing efforts for Faedah Shop, a Batam-based business specializing in customizable flower bouquets and gift items. The primary challenge was to enhance brand awareness, increase engagement, and drive sales through various digital platforms, despite the business’s limited online presence and fierce local competition.

Before launching our campaigns, my team and I conducted thorough market research and competitor analysis. We identified that Faedah Shop’s target audience primarily consisted of women aged 18-24 in Batam, with peak interest in flower bouquets during graduation seasons (June and November). This insight was crucial in shaping our strategy to capitalize on the upcoming graduation season.

Scope of Work

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, Design, Editing, and Paid Performance Team, I oversaw both the content creation and paid performance strategies. We aimed to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversions through platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Shopee.

1. Brand Identity & Content Strategy

  • Redesigned Faedah Shop’s logo and established a new color palette to enhance brand identity and differentiate from competitors.
  • Developed a comprehensive content strategy focusing on product knowledge, testimonials, and promotional content, with an emphasis on “light romance” and “celebration” themes to resonate with the target audience.

2. Content Creation & Optimization

  • Created and managed daily content uploads across Instagram and TikTok platforms, totaling 65 Instagram posts and 47 TikTok videos over two months.
  • Produced a mix of entertainment, informative, promotional, and testimonial content to engage the audience, with a focus on relatable scenarios and trending formats.

3. Paid Performance Campaigns

  • In charge the strategy for paid ad campaigns on Meta (Facebook and Instagram Ads), Google Ads, and TikTok Ads, with a total budget of IDR 971,920.
  • Implemented a three-funnel approach (Awareness, Consideration, Conversion) to maximize campaign effectiveness, with strategic budget allocation across each funnel.
  • Conducted A/B testing on ad creatives and audience targeting to optimize performance.

4. E-commerce Integration

  • Reactivated and optimized Faedah Shop’s Shopee account to diversify sales channels and capture a broader market.

1. Increased Brand Awareness

  • Reached 461,292 people across platforms, a 1,845% increase from the initial benchmark.
  • Achieved 577,005 impressions, surpassing the benchmark by 1,154%.

2. Engagement Growth

  • Generated 36,854 total engagements with a 7.99% Engagement Rate, exceeding the 2% benchmark by 399%.
  • Accumulated over 77,000 views on TikTok in just over two months, starting from zero followers.

3. Sales Performance

  • Generated 58 sales, surpassing the initial target of 30 sales by 193%.
  • Achieved a Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) of 5.21, exceeding the benchmark of 4 by 130%.
  • Drove IDR 5,443,000 in revenue from a total ad spend of IDR 876,667.

4. Cost-Effective Advertising

  • Maintained a low Cost Per Mille (CPM) of IDR 3,387, indicating efficient ad spend.
  • Achieved a Click-Through Rate (CTR) of 0.50%, meeting the industry benchmark.

  • Successfully launched Faedah Shop on TikTok, gaining 37 followers and 5,253 likes in two months.
  • Reactivated Shopee account, resulting in 5 packages of polaroid photos sold within the project timeframe.

Challenges Overcome

1. Limited Initial Online Presence

Faedah Shop started with only 2,628 Instagram followers and no presence on TikTok or active e-commerce platforms. We successfully expanded their digital footprint across multiple channels.

2. Fierce Local Competition

We differentiated Faedah Shop from established competitors like Kristin Florist and Sunday Florist by focusing on fully customizable bouquets and targeting specific occasions like graduations.

By aligning our campaign with the graduation season and creating relevant content, we capitalized on peak demand periods to maximize impact.

This project demonstrates my ability to develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies that deliver tangible business results in challenging markets. By focusing on creating relatable content, implementing targeted paid campaigns, and expanding to new platforms, we significantly increased Faedah Shop’s brand awareness and drove sales beyond the initial targets.

The achievement of a 5.21 ROAS and surpassing sales goals by 193% underscores the effectiveness of our data-driven approach and adaptability to market trends. Moreover, the successful expansion to TikTok and reactivation of e-commerce channels showcases my ability to identify and leverage new growth opportunities.

This project stands as a testament to my expertise in revitalizing digital presence, crafting engaging content strategies, and implementing efficient paid campaigns to drive business growth in competitive markets.
